More place value

We’ve been using counters and place value grids to help us count forwards and backwards in steps of 10, 100, 1000 and 10000. It’s tricky – especially when you have to ‘bridge’ – but we’re getting the hang of it!

We’ve been learning how to order numbers in maths. We found that, once you know what you’re doing, it doesn’t matter whether you’re ordering numbers with 3 digits or 7 digits … it’s simple! We also used random digit cards to make the largest and smallest number possible.
